Jane's Corner “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1 As this year ends and another begins, there are no absolutes as to what will happen in our lives but one. Good things will happen, and sad things will happen too. When we look forward, there may be an adventure ahead but for the most part, it is unknown what will crop up. God is the one constant in our lives who never abandons us, never gives up on us, even when we might give up. God says for us to “be strong and courageous.” (Josh. 12:6) We can trust God to support us in our new adventures or see us through any trouble we face in the future. God will help us stick with our new years resolutions because God is THE absolute, the one thing that is always part of us.As we face a new year, God will help us to a place of trust and confidence. May you have a blessed new year and the faith that what ever you hope for, God will be your partner in your journey. Christmas Pageant Thank You! We had a wonderful pageant this year and I want to thank all the children for coming to the Friday evening rehearsals, for baring with me as adjustments were made to the script along the way, for being flexible, and most importantly, for their wonderful presence the day of the pageant. Kids, you all were great and you rock! Thank you also to Susan Luker for all she does for the Children’s choir and for the fabulous songs the children performed during the pageant. Lastly, thank you parents for your support during the pageant preparations and for pitching in when help was needed. We couldn’t have done it without you being there and bringing your wonderful children to the church! Caroling with Christian Ed A tuneful group of adults and children visited the Village and the home of the Horvitz family to bring some songs and cheer last month. Our songs were rousing and everyone had big smiles on their face to hear the Christmas tunes sung by children and their families. After the singing was through everyone went to Susan Luker’s house for hot chocolate and cookies. Thank you to all who came and we look forward to more singing opportunities in the coming year!
